Jewish Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1/3 c. orange juice
    2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    4 eggs, beaten
    1 c. cooking oil
    3 medium apples, sliced thin
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Sift first three ingredients.
    Make indentation in center, and add juice, vanilla, eggs and oil.
    Mix until smooth.
    Combine apples with sugar and cinnamon and set aside.
    Grease tube pan, put a layer of batter, then a layer of apples alternately three times, ending with apples and accumulated syrup on top.
    Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cake needs no frosting.
