Cecil'S Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. stew meat (1-inch cubes)
    1 stick oleo/butter
    1 small bunch celery (2 c.)
    1 medium onion
    1 green pepper
    1 small bunch carrots
    5 medium potatoes
    1 pkg. onion soup mix
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 heaping Tbsp. m.s.g.
Preparation
    Brown meat in oleo over medium heat.
    Cover with water and cook 45 minutes.
    Add celery, pepper, carrots and onion.
    Cover with water and cook 1 hour.
    Add potatoes, cover and cook 1 hour.
    Test for seasoning.
    Add onion soup and cook 20 minutes.
    Add m.s.g. and more water, if needed.
    Never cook fast.
    Requires 4 hours of cooking on slow or simmer.
    Serves 8 to 12.
