Scotch-A-Roos - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. peanut butter
    6 c. Rice Krispies
    1 c. chocolate bits
    1 c. butterscotch bits
Preparation
    Combine sugar and syrup in a 3-quart saucepan.
    Cook over moderate heat, stirring often until it comes to a boil.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in peanut butter.
    Add cereal and blend well. Press in a 9 x 13-inch pan (greased).
    Melt bits together over hot water (not boiling).
    Blend and spread over mixture.
    Cool; cut into squares.
