Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Blend
    together
    shortening, eggs and 1 1/2 cups sugar. Sift and
    add flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt.
    Mix well to form dough.
    Roll
    dough
    into
    balls
    the size of a large marble. Roll
    balls
    into
    the combined cinnamon and 2 tablespoons sugar. Bake at 400\u00b0 on a ungreased cookie sheet, for 5 to 7 minutes.
    Do not overbake.
