Homemade Lye Soap - cooking recipe

Ingredients

20 oz. water
4 lb. used grease
1 can potash (red devil lye)

Preparation

Mix together in iron pot or dutch oven.
(Do not use aluminum or plastic.)
Stir with a stick, several minutes until thick.
Let set in pot until cold.
Cut into bars.
