Puffcorn Snack - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole bag puffed corn snack
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. corn syrup
    1 stick butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In large pan, mix brown sugar, corn syrup and butter. Bring to a boil and simmer for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla and baking soda. Pour over the snack food and mix well. Spread on lightly buttered sheet cake pan. Spread well; place in 275\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes. Stir once while baking. Spoon out on waxed paper to cool. When cool, break apart. Store in airtight container. Nuts or coconut may be added before being stored.
