Overnight Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices day-old bread
    4 c. chopped, cooked chicken
    2 jars sliced mushrooms (4 oz. size)
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts
    4 eggs
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 Tbsp. parsley
    6 to 8 slices American cheese
    1 can cream of celery soup
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 jar pimentos
    2 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation
    Remove crusts from bread.
    Arrange bread in 13 x 9-inch pan. Top with chicken, then cover with mushrooms and water chestnuts. Beat eggs; blend in milk, mayo and salt and pepper to taste.
    Pour over chicken.
    Arrange cheese on top.
    Combine soups and pimento and pour over cheese.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
