Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. squash, cooked and mashed
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. water chestnuts, sliced
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. grated cheese
    1 c. buttered cracker crumbs
Preparation
    Cook squash; drain and mash.
    Add all other ingredients, mixing well.
    Pour into buttered 2-quart casserole dish.
    Sprinkle crackers over the top; bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Can be frozen.
