Hasenpfeffer(German) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) rabbit, washed and cut in pieces
    3 c. red wine vinegar
    3 c. water
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 medium onion, sliced
    2 carrots, cut in pieces
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pickling spices
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat in a Dutch oven 3 tablespoons fat.
    Add rabbit pieces and brown slowly, turning to brown evenly.
    Remove from heat. Gradually add 2 cups of the marinade.
    Cover and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour or until meat is tender.
