Mushrooms In Sour Cream - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. mushrooms
4 Tbsp. butter
salt and pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
juice of 1/4 lemon
8 slices French bread
1 pt. sour cream
Preparation

Prepare in chafing dish.
Wash, trim and slice mushrooms. Saute in butter over moderate heat in a covered pan for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Season with salt, pepper, oregano, nutmeg and lemon juice.
Toast French bread.
Reheat mushrooms in chafing dish.
Add sour cream, stirring while it heats.
Do not boil; cream will separate.
Serve on bread.
Makes 8 servings.
