Tomato Sauce Jambalaya - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 c. long grain rice
1 small fryer, boiled and deboned
1 lb. cubed beef
1/2 lb. sausage
1 large onion
1 clove garlic
3 c. chicken broth (from boiled chicken)
1 each: chicken and beef bouillon cubes
1 large can tomato sauce
1/2 c. each: green onion and bell pepper
1 jalapeno pepper (optional)
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
5 c. water
Preparation

Fry sausage and cubed meat until slightly brown in a large heavy saucepan.
Add onion, peppers and garlic.
Brown slightly. Add water, tomato sauce, chicken broth, seasoning, bouillon and meat.
Simmer on medium heat for 45 minutes.
Add rice and cook, covered, on low heat until rice is done.
(Too much stirring will make sticky.)
