Basic "7" Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1 1/4 c. fortified oat flakes
2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg, well beaten
Preparation

Mix and sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Cut in shortening.
Combine milk and egg, add to flour mixture.
Mix only enough to dampen flour.
Fold in oat flakes.
