No Fat Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. plain or self-rising meal (if plain meal is used, then add 1 tsp. salt)
    2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Put meal in medium sized bowl.
    Add boiling water.
    Stir with spoon until well mixed.
    Mold into 3-inch patties.
    Fry in hot oil or bacon grease until brown.
