Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. plain flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. lemon flavoring
    2 sticks butter
    5 eggs
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation
    Cream shortening and butter; gradually add sugar.
    Beat at medium speed until well blended and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
    Stir in the flavorings.
    Pour batter into a greased and floured 10-inch tube or Bundt pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour, or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
    Cool in pan for 10 minutes; remove from pan.
    Cool completely on a rack.
