German Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Baker's German chocolate
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. butter or oleo
    2 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation
    Melt chocolate in boiling water.
    Let cool.
    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add egg yolks and mix well.
    Add vanilla and chocolate.
    Mix until blended.
    Sift flour with soda and salt.
    Add sifted ingredients alternately with buttermilk to chocolate mixture.
    Add egg whites by folding them in.
    Pour batter into 3 (9-inch) greased pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
    Cool on rack.
