Mexican Pecan Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Mix sugar, milk and soda in a large saucepan and cook to soft ball (230\u00b0) stage.
    Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla and pecans.
    Beat with electric mixer until creamy.
    Drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper.
    Let set until firm enough to remove from paper.
