Cloud Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 beaten egg
2/3 c. milk (for drop biscuit, increase milk to 3/4 c. and omit kneading)
Preparation

Sift together dry ingredients.
Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Combine egg and milk; add to flour and mix all at once.
Stir until dough follows fork around bowl.
Turn out on lightly floured surface; knead gently with heal of hand, about 20 strokes.
Roll dough to 3/4-inch thickness and cut with floured cutter.
Place on ungreased pan 3/4-inches apart for crusty biscuits, close together for soft sided.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 14 minutes.
