Italian Cream Cheese Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
1 stick margarine
5 eggs, separated
2 c. flour, sifted
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. angel-flake coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream sugar, Crisco and margarine well. Add 5 egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each. Alternately add flour, buttermilk, soda and coconut. Beat 5 egg whites until stiff and fold into batter. Add vanilla. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until done. Makes three 8 or 9-inch layers.
