Chicken With Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 lb. chicken (split breasts, legs, thighs)
1 medium onion, cut up
2 stalks celery, cut up
2 bay leaves
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Bisquick
4 carrots, pared and cut into 2-inch pieces
1 can chicken broth
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves
6 Tbsp. flour
Preparation

In large pot, combine chicken pieces, onion, carrots, celery, chicken broth, salt, bay leaves, pepper, thyme and 3 cups water. Bring to boil over high heat.
Reduce heat; simmer, covered, for 35 minutes, until chicken and vegetables are tender.
With slotted spoon, remove chicken and vegetables.
Bring liquid to a boil (should be 5 to 6 cups).
Blend flour and 1/2 cup water until smooth; pour into boiling broth, stirring constantly until broth thickens.
Return chicken and vegetables to pot; bring to boil.
