Mexican Beef Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. precooked rice
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 can pinto beans
    1 c. crushed corn chips
    1 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Brown beef; drain.
    Add onion, bell pepper and garlic.
    Saute until tender.
    Blend in tomato sauce, chili powder and salt. Butter a 2-quart casserole.
    Layer rice, beans and meat sauce, beginning and ending with meat sauce.
    Sprinkle with corn chips and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes.
    Top with cheese.
    Bake 5 minutes more.
    Serve with corn tortillas.
