Chicken Almond Vermicelli - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. vermicelli or thin spaghetti
    2 chicken bouillon cubes
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    12 oz. boned breast of chicken, cut into thin strips
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 c. sliced, fresh mushrooms
    1 c. diagonally sliced celery
    1 c. sliced green onion
    1/2 c. sliced water chestnuts
    2 c. broccoli florets
    1 c. slivered almonds
Preparation
    Cook vermicelli in boiling, salted water (2-quarts plus 1 tablespoon salt) until tender, yet firm, 6 to 8 minutes.
    Drain.
