* Mock Lasagna Casserole * - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. bulk pork sausage
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato juice
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt and pepper
    dried basil, crushed
    1 (7 oz.) pkg. macaroni, cooked and drained
    1 1/2 c. cream-style cottage cheese
    6 oz. American cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Brown meat; drain off fat.
    Add tomato sauce, garlic salt, pepper, basil and 1/2 cup water.
    Cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    In a 2-quart casserole, layer half each of macaroni, cottage cheese, shredded cheese and meat sauce.
    Repeat layers.
    Bake at 370\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Serves 6 to 8.
