Never Fail Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 egg whites
    1/2 c. cold water
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Blend cornstarch and cold water.
    Boil until thick and clear. Beat egg whites, gradually adding sugar.
    Beat until stiff.
    Add vanilla to cornstarch mixture.
    Spread over pie filling.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until brown.
