"Meskin" Dirty Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. cooking oil
    1 medium onion
    2 cloves garlic
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1 cube beef bouillon
    1 c. water
    1 ring Polish sausage
    1 jalapeno (optional)
    salt to taste
Preparation
    In cast-iron pot, heat the oil.
    Chop the onion and garlic. Saute in hot oil. Soak bouillon in water to be added later.
    Add to sauteed mix the chili powder, jalapeno and rice. Brown. Cut sausage into 1/4-inch cubes and add to mixture.
    Add bouillon mixture. Add salt to taste.
    Be sure mixture is covered with liquid. Cover pot and place in oven which has been preheated to 350\u00b0.
    Bake for 30 minutes or until rice is tender.
