Cherry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. tart cherries
    3 Tbsp. Minute tapioca
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Mix fruit, sugar, tapioca and almond extract in a bowl.
    Fill pastry-lined 9-inch pie plate with fruit mixture.
    Dot with 1 tablespoon of butter.
    Cover pie with top crust.
    Seal and flute edge.
    Cut several slits to permit steam to escape.
    Bake in a 450\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes only.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake 40 minutes longer.
    Cool.
