Marinated Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar (or less)
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1 16 oz. can french style green beans, drained
    1 17 oz. can green peas
    1 12 oz. can shoe peg white corn
    1 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 2 oz. jar diced pimento
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 bunch green onions, chopped
Preparation
    Bring to boil sugar and vinegar, stirring to dissolve sugar. Let cool.
    Combine remaining ingredients with vinegar mixture. Cover and chill, stirring ingredients several times.
    Chill at least 8 hours.
