Crunchy Refrigerated Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bushel pickling cucumbers
    6 large onions, sliced
    5 qt. white vinegar
    5 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1/2 c. canning salt
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers in cold water, then slice 1/4-inch thick and put in canning jars. Put sliced onions on top.
    Mix last 5 ingredients and pour over to fill jars.
    Seal and turn jars upside down and put in refrigerator.
    Flip jars over daily for 3 weeks. Do not cook.
