59'Ers Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    12 whole cloves
    1/2 c. water
    2 (2-inch) cinnamon sticks
    1 1/2 qt. orange juice
    1 qt. apple cider
    2 c. grapefruit juice
    food coloring (if desired)
Preparation
    Combine sugar, cloves, water and cinnamon sticks.
    Simmer 10 minutes and strain.
    Add orange juice, apple cider and grapefruit juice.
    Add food coloring, if desired.
    Heat and serve hot.
    Yields 3 quarts or 25 (1/2 cup) servings.
