Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large apple, diced (larger pieces with peeling on)
    1 banana, sliced
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 can mandarin orange segments, drained
    1 can fruit cocktail, drained
    1 can pineapple chunks, drained
    2 c. miniature marshmallows
    2 eggs, beaten
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. juice (reserved from fruits)
    2 c. frozen whipped topping, thawed
Preparation
    In large bowl, combine apple and banana with lemon juice.
    Add canned fruits and marshmallows.
    In saucepan, combine eggs, sugar, cornstarch and fruit juice.
    Cook over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat and cool.
    Toss lightly with fruit.
    Fold in whipped topping.
    Cover and chill at least 3 hours.
