Seven Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, shredded
    1/2 c. celery, finely shredded
    1 c. carrots, finely shredded
    1/2 medium bell pepper, finely shredded
    1 small onion, finely shredded
    1 can English peas, drained
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. sour cream
    1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp and crumbled or bacon bits, if desired
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Place lettuce on bottom of large dish.
    Layer celery, carrots, bell pepper, onion, and English peas.
    Mix mayonnaise and sour cream.
    Spread over layers.
    Top with bacon and cheese.
