Red Beet Eggs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans small whole beets
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    6 hard-boiled eggs
Preparation
    Drain beets, reserve liquid.
    Place drained beets in 1 1/2-quart jar.
    Measure reserved liquid.
    If necessary, add enough water to make 1 cup.
    In pan, combine beet liquid, vinegar, sugar and salt; bringing to a boil, stirring.
    Pour over beets; refrigerate, tightly covered.
    Cool 4 hours.
