Ham And Cheese Rice Skillet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. oil
    3/4 c. sliced celery
    1/4 c. green onion, diced
    1 1/2 c. diced cooked ham (1 lb.)
    1 c. rice
    2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
Preparation
    In large skillet over medium heat, saute celery, onion and ham in oil about 2 minutes or until celery is crisp-tender.
    Stir in rice, water, salt and thyme.
    Bring to boil; reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer about 20 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
    Stir 1/2 cup cheese into rice mixture; cook until cheese melts.
    Sprinkle with remaining cheese and serve at once.
