German Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    4 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. oil
    1/2 c. orange juice
    2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. apples, thinly sliced and peeled
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    confectioners sugar (optional)
Preparation
    Combine the first three ingredients and set aside. In a large mixing bowl beat eggs and sugar.
    Combine oil and orange juice. Add alternating with dry ingredients to egg and sugar mixture. Mix until smooth.
    Add vanilla and beat well.
    Pour half of the batter into a greased and floured tube pan.
    Arrange half of the apples over the batter.
