Fresh Cucumber Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 c. finely sliced cucumbers
    1 1/2 c. sliced onions
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Place the cucumbers and onions in large bowl and sprinkle with salt and celery seed.
    Mix well and let stand 10 minutes.
    Do not drain.
    Stir together 1 cup vinegar and 2 cups sugar.
    Pour over pickles and stir frequently for most of the day. Refrigerate.
    Eat right out of bowl.
    Can also be frozen.
    Makes about 1 1/2 quarts.
