Drop Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. shortening (soft)
    2 c. sifted flour
    3/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat
    the
    eggs.
    Add
    the
    sugar and shortening.
    Sift together the
    flour,
    salt, nutmeg and baking powder.
    Add the milk and
    vanilla.\tMix all together.
    Drop by small teaspoons into hot
    fat
    (375\u00b0).
    (Use 2 teaspoons, dropping them in hot fat first,
    to\tallow
    the
    dough to slide off spoons easier.) Turn to brown
    evenly.
    Lift out of fat with a slotted spoon. Dust with 10x sugar or glaze.
