Cabbage Dinner - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 slices bacon
1 medium head cabbage, finely chopped
1 green pepper, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
2 stalks celery, finely chopped
2 tsp. imitation butter flavored salt
2 c. stewed tomatoes
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms (optional)
Preparation

Fry bacon; drain and crumble.
Combine bacon, cabbage, green pepper, onion, celery and salt in a saucepan and heat for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add tomatoes and mushrooms if desired and continue cooking until mixture is slightly thickened and tender.
Makes 4 servings, 50 calories per serving.
