Cherry Opera Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3 Tbsp. milk
    1 pkg. our creamy white frosting mix
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. candied cherry halves
Preparation
    Butter loaf pan (9 x 5 x 3-inch).
    In top of double boiler, melt butter in milk.
    Stir in frosting mix (dry) until smooth. Heat over rapidly boiling water 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in nuts and cherries.
    Spread mixture evenly in pan.
    Let stand until firm.
    Cut into 1-inch squares.
    Makes 32.
