Meringue - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. water
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. sugar (total)
1/8 tsp. salt
flavoring as desired
3 egg whites
Preparation

Combine water, cornstarch, 2 tablespoons sugar and salt.
Cook on low heat, stirring until clear and thick.
Cool.
Beat egg whites until stiff, gradually adding remainder or sugar.
Add cooled, cooked mixture, a spoonful at a time, while continuing to beat.
Add desired flavoring.
