West Coast Lefse(Vest Kyst Lefse) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pkg. dry yeast
4 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
12 to 14 c. flour
Preparation

Mix as for bread.
Dough should be a little firmer than bread. Let rise.
Knead down and let rise again until light.
Divide into good sized biscuits and cover with damp cloth to keep from drying out.
Roll each piece out on floured cloth with grooved rolling pin until thin.
This is difficult, as dough springs back. Use sharp, pointed rolling pin to mark.
Bake on hot, greased griddle, turning as one side browns.
Spread out cakes until cool and crisp.
Makes about 50.
