Angel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. crushed pineapple
    2 egg whites
    2 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 (9-inch) baked pie shells
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Add to boiling water.
    Boil for 5 minutes.
    Add hot mixture to stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Beat until thick and fluffy; add vanilla.
    Drain pineapple and pour into baked pie shell.
    Cool.
    Makes 2 (9-inch) pies.
