Wilted Lettuce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    fresh lettuce leaves
    4 finely chopped green onions
    5 to 6 slices fat back
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Pick fresh lettuce leaves.
    Wash carefully and chop about 4 cups of it into a large bowl.
    Add 3 or 4 finely chopped young onions and tops and toss mixture lightly.
    Fry fat; remove from grease on paper towel.
    Let drain.
    To fat grease, add 1 teaspoon salt and 2 teaspoons vinegar; stir well.
    Heat and pour immediately over lettuce to coat all leaves.
    Serve with cornbread and fatback meat.
