Fresh Banana Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening or butter
1 1/2 c. white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. mashed banana
1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Sift flour, soda and salt, then cream the shortening until soft and smooth.
Gradually add sugar, creaming very well until fluffy. Beat in flavoring, slightly beaten eggs and banana.
Add flour alternately with milk, beating until smooth after each addition. Put into greased pans and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes or until done.
Cool, then ice.
