Lemon Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pie crust
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    juice and grated rind of lemon
    3 egg yolks
    3 egg whites
    3 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Bake the pie crust first.
    Heat the milk.
    Add next four ingredients as in making custard.
    Pour this (boiling) upon the whites (beaten light and mixed with three tablespoons of sugar). Pour into the crust and brown slightly in a hot oven.
