Hot, Sweet And Sour Owens Sausage Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. Owens hot country sausage
1 c. bread crumbs
1 small onion, chopped
1 egg, beaten slightly
2 Tbsp. soy sauce (divided)
2 Tbsp. margarine
1/2 c. orange juice
1/4 c. Cointreau
1 small red bell pepper, chopped fine
1 c. orange marmalade (sweet)
1/8 c. wine vinegar
1 onion, quartered
1/2 lb. small mushrooms, cleaned
1/2 c. chicken broth
1 Tbsp. dry sherry
Preparation

Combine sausage, bread crumbs, chopped onion, egg and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce thoroughly and form into balls about the size of a walnut.
Set aside.
Saute chopped bell pepper in margarine for about 1 minute; add orange juice, Cointreau, marmalade and vinegar.
Continue to cook until sauce is quite thick.
Remove from heat and set aside.
