Buttercream Frosting - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. solid vegetable shortening
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter flavoring
1 tsp. almond flavoring
2 lb. confectioners sugar
2 egg whites
2 Tbsp. milk
Preparation

Cream shortening, vanilla, butter and almond flavoring plus egg whites.
Gradually add confectioners sugar, beating well on medium speed.
Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often.
When all of the sugar has been mixed in, icing will appear dry.
Add milk and beat at high speed until light and fluffy.
Keep icing covered with a damp cloth until you are ready to decorate.
For best results, keep icing bowl in refrigerator when not in use.
Icing can be refrigerated in airtight container for 1 week, rewhip before using.
