Texas Caviar - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (No. 2) cans black-eyed peas, drained
    1 clove garlic
    1 medium onion, sliced thin
    1/4 c. wine vinegar
    3/4 c. Wesson oil
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Mix vinegar and oil together.
    Pour over peas and other ingredients.
    Store in refrigerator overnight.
    Keep in tight covered dish.
