Cheddar-Almond-Broccoli Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. broccoli or 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli spears
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. margarine or butter
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. milk
    3/4 c. water
    1 tsp. instant chicken or beef bouillon granules
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 to 2 Tbsp. dry sherry
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (2 oz.)
    1/2 c. toasted slivered almonds
Preparation
    Preheat the oven to 375\u00b0.
    If using fresh broccoli, wash and cut into spears.
    In a large saucepan, bring 1 inch of water to a boil.
    Add the broccoli and salt.
    Cook, covered, for 8 to 12 minutes or until crisp-tender.
    (Or, cook the frozen broccoli according to the package directions.)
    Drain the broccoli and transfer to a 2-quart rectangular or oval baking dish.
