Beets Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. mild vinegar
    1/4 c. water
    1 can beets, diced or cubed
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Mix in saucepan the sugar and cornstarch.
    Add vinegar and water.
    Boil 15 minutes.
    Add beets.
    Let stand 30 minutes or more.
    Just before serving, bring to the boiling point.
    Add 2 tablespoons butter.
    Serves 2 to 4.
