Mock Fig Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 lb. small green tomatoes, cut in quarters
    salt water (1/2 c. salt and water to cover tomatoes)
    3 lb. brown sugar
    1 pt. white vinegar
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. ground cloves
    1 lb. seedless raisins
Preparation
    Soak tomatoes in salt water 2 hours.
    Drain well.
    Combine remaining ingredients.
    Add tomatoes and cook slow over a low flame until tender (about 30 minutes).
    Seal in jars while hot.
