Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs
    1 lb. rolled sausage (hot or mild)
    1 large onion
    1 1/2 cartons sour cream
    6 slices bread
    3 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 c. green onions, chopped (optional)
    1/2 c. bell pepper, chopped (optional)
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Toast bread and layer in a large, buttered casserole dish. Brown sausage and drain.
    Add onion, green pepper and green onions and saute.
    Layer sausage mixture on bread.
    Beat eggs, milk and pepper, then pour over first 2 layers.
    Add layer of sour cream and top with grated cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
